I am struggling to understand what this thread is actually about, is it flat earth or the hard left?

It's about multiple things: This "site" being a circle jerk, this "site" being unethical, leftist censorship, shaming leftists/posts by them and/or comparing them to flat-earthers.

The last part is a self-shaming process now (without any independent analysis) and will be limited to a small number of people (congrats to roc for doing a good job).

One thing I can never understand about Ireland is the obsession with counties. They aren't even a native concept to this country, aka. the English government introduced the system back in the 16th century. Yet within England itself the county is little more than an administrative division...or somewhere you happen to live. America also a system of counties, yet they identify with their states / regions...which are often culturally the equivalent of a country given the size of the US overall.

Yet Ireland is absolutely obsessed with it. So much so that many put their own county before the country itself. Tell someone from say Westmeath that their county is a pointless construct and that it may as well be a part of Meath...and all hell will break lose. Or ask whether Mayo and Galway are really so different from each other, or have large enough populations to justify separate governing bodies...and there'll be WW3. It's ridiculous.
