It's Saturday evening, blazing sun, blue skies, hot sauna, barbecue searing up on the roof (not my party, but I'm invited after my sauna shift).
I met lots of student-age girls on Thursday night, the eve of May Day and Finland's biggest party to start the season. They all wanted selfies with me, to know my name, to sit with me for a while, to ask how come I don't have fifteen girlfriends, to invite me to their party later, to buy me drinks, to ask lots of questions about Ireland (sorry, I cannot lie - I told them the truth because one of them is going to NCAD later this year) and to ask how in the name of the swinging bejayzus did I end up in Helsinki of all places, heh-heh!
Very sweet to be so loved by such young and fresh little student girls: of course I knew they were all thinking the same thing: 'if I'm going to give my maidenhead to any guy tonight, then this is him'. Which makes Mowl very happy, Iago. How about you? Ever been even a little bit happy lately? No?
