Working class revolt my arse, farmers are the most mollycoddled and pampered group in Irish society. The temper tantrum on display in recent days shows just how much power they have over Irish governments.
As for that bolloxology I'm reading elsewhere about farmers "feeding us", yeah, that's their job and they get paid quite handsomely for it - largely at the expense of minimum wage workers' taxes with farming subsidies. They aren't sweet darling angels tilling the soil out of the goodness of their hearts.
